यह हिमालयन बद्री गायों के दूध से पारंपरिक बिलोना प्रक्रिया से तैयार किया जाता है जो उत्तराखंड के हिमालय के पहाड़ों में चरती हैं। ये गायें लगभग 1600 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर पालीं गईं और ज्यादातर उत्तराखंड के प्राकृतिक जंगलों में पाले गए। इस प्रकार प्राप्त किया गया दूध उन घासों, पौधों और जड़ी-बूटियों से प्राप्त औषधीय गुणों से भी भरपूर होता है जिन्हें गायें खाती थीं। फैट में घुलनशील विटामिन और ओमेगा 3 से भरपूर, यह वजन घटाने के लिए उपयोगी है और सर्दियों में शरीर को गर्म और गर्मियों में ठंडा रखता है। इसे उत्तराखंड के कुमाऊँ क्षेत्र में 1600 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित गांवों से एकत्र किया जाता है। यह घी सबसे अच्छी स्थिति में तैयार किया जाता है। यह गवयअमृतम द्वारा पैक और विपणित किया जाता है।

Badri cow (hill cow) has the most beneficial and healthy milk in the world. This fact came to light from the research done on the milk of Badri cow by the scientists of UCOST (Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology) and IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Roorkee. In this research conducted under the Value Addition to the Hill-kettle of Uttarakhand Using Biotechnological Investigation Project, it was found that 90 percent A-2 genotype beta casein is found in the milk of hill cows.
